This Awesome Body of Work
This is Earth in the waning days of the twenty-first century. The United States of America is now Nova, ruled by a decrepit prime minister and the Novan Council. There is a vaccine for old age, but it is administered to the young, who will live to be three hundred years old, while the elderly are forsaken. Mars has been colonized, but the early promise of a new world has given way to a reality of resources brutally exploited by the home planet. Back on Earth, Penn and Sarah find each other, drawn by a call to destiny greater than themselves. They lead a rebellion, just as an armada led by Martian warlord Celidus rockets toward Earth bent on revenge. In the epic battle to come, Sarah may hold humanity’s last hope.

My search for a start the summer must read ended with The. Martian Wars. This book is immensely readable and quickly obtained cannot put down status as the days get warmer. I was immediately invested in Penn and his friends. They are written in a way that made me feel like we were old friends. Against the backdrop of the not too distant future, The Martian Wars describes a world both familiar and foreign. As the story charges forward you find yourself facing issues and decisions right along side Penn. Penn is a hero for a new generation. A reluctant man driven by a sense of doing what is right. This book had me on the edge of my chair. At times cheering And at times worried for his future and ours. If you are looking for the first must read book of 2017, stop at The Martian Wars. You will enjoy it.
I chose to read this book because it came referred to me by quite a few people and in the description I was instantly intrigued. I highly recommend it. There’s a little bit of everything for any type of person. I was sad to see it end. Can’t wait for part 2!
This was a great read! It captures the complicated nature of human relationships and is full of intrigue and suspense. It’s the perfect summer beach read because you will not be able to put it down!
The Fall of Nova is a great story that takes the reader into the life of Penn, a guy who has all the perfect qualities that just about every man wishes he had. The story follows Penn’s path into the everyday work life with his best friend. The path leads the readers through romance between two lovers. It includes lots of action and drama that will leave all readers needing to read more because they just can’t bear to be ignorant of what happens next in Penn’s life. This exact scenario happened to me as I was reading the book. It is a very well-written tale of Action, Romance, Drama, Betrayal, and even a glimpse of the struggles of a good man through the destructive ways of political corruption, all bundled up into one book that is impossible to put down. No matter what genre you love to read, this book has it all. I highly recommend this book to anyone who is looking for a captivating story to fill their summer reading needs or looking for a great new author to follow.
